Become a Member
Membership in either The League by Sports Authority™ or in the S.A. Elite by Sports Authority® Member Program shall be deemed membership in the "Program", and is open to individual U.S. residents (excluding Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands and other U.S. territories) at least 13 years of age, who provide and maintain a valid email address. Resellers may not participate in the Program. Communications about the Program, including any changes in the Program or modification of Program rules, will be communicated by e-mail or on sportsauthority.com/theleague. By joining the Program, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age or older, and by using the Program you agree that you have read and agree to these Program Rules. You specifically agree to provide and maintain a valid email address and to keep Sports Authority informed of any changes to your e-mail address. If you are between 13 years of age and the age of majority (18 or 19 years old, depending on which state you reside in), you agree that you have obtained permission from your parent or legal guardian to be a member of the Program. You may only join the Program once, either as a member of The League by Sports Authority™ or the S.A. Elite by Sports Authority Member Program. Your membership is nontransferable and is subject to present and future Program rules. Your membership is valid only at participating Sports Authority and S.A. Elite by Sports Authority retail store locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. You begin to earn Program points ("Points") when you sign-up at a participating Sports Authority or S.A. Elite by Sports Authority retail location or at sportsauthority.com/theleague. By enrolling as a member, you agree to receive communications about the Program, as well as optional email, advertising and marketing material from Sports Authority and/or S.A. Elite Sports Authority.
By providing your email address, landline phone number or cell phone number, you authorize Sports Authority to contact you with information about upcoming promotions, sales, special events and other offers. You also authorize receiving text messages and calls and messages which may be pre-recorded from automated dialing systems. The number provided in your profile will be used for any such contacts. If the contact number is a cell phone number, normal cell phone charges may apply.
Sports Authority or S.A. Elite by Sports Authority may, at any time, terminate the Program, or modify the Program by posting modified rules on sportsauthority.com/theleague.
Points are earned during four earning periods annually — Period 1: January 1 through March 31; Period 2: April 1 through June 30; Period 3: July 1 through September 30; Period 4: October 1 through December 31. You will begin earning Points for each new earning period on the first day of the new period. At the beginning of every earning period, the Points in your account will be reset to a starting Points balance of zero, and any remaining Points balance — with the exception of Points equal to the amount of a minimum $5 Reward — will be forfeited at 11:59pm PST on the last day of the then current earning period. Only Points earned during a given earning period will be available when issuing Rewards. Points may not be combined from two or more earning periods in order to qualify for a Reward.
If you make a qualifying purchase and do not provide your The League by Sports Authority or S.A. Elite by Sports Authority Member Program card, registered phone number or email at the time of purchase, you may request retroactive Points within seven days of purchase by calling toll-free at 877-872-6806. You must have your receipt to receive these Points.
As a member of the Program, you will earn one Point for every dollar you spend on qualifying purchases (see "Non-Qualifying Purchases" below) during any earning period when you use your Program membership for purchases made at Sports Authority and S.A. Elite by Sports Authority retail stores and online at sportsauthority.com. For online purchases, Points are awarded once your order ships (typically three to fourteen days).
Bonus Points may be issued in connection with certain promotions. Bonus Points are Points that may be earned in addition to the standard earnings of one Point per dollar spent at Sports Authority and S.A. Elite by Sports Authority retail stores.
You must earn a minimum of 100 Points within a given earning period in order to be eligible for a Reward. At the close of each earning period, if you have earned 100 Points or more (including regular and promotional Bonus Points) from qualifying purchases, you will be issued a Reward valued at 5% of the total Points earned during such earning period. For example: 150 Points will earn a Reward in the amount of $7.50. Rewards will be rounded down to the nearest 100th decimal (e.g., a $11.267 Reward would be issued for $11.26).
Points are based on dollars spent on qualifying purchases. If an item is returned, Points will be deducted from your account equal to the amount of Points earned for the applicable amount of that purchase. Points will be earned by only one membership per transaction. Membership cards, Points and Rewards have no cash value. You cannot give or transfer your membership card or Points to anyone else. Other restrictions or exclusions may apply.
PROGRAM REWARDS ("REWARDS")
Rewards are coupons for discounts on future purchases at participating Sports Authority and S.A. Elite by Sports Authority retail store locations, and may only be redeemed for a discount on purchase amounts equal to or greater than the sum of the Rewards presented for redemption. Rewards are transferable. Rewards will be issued and available to print at sportsauthority.com/theleague within five to seven business days after the last day of the earning period and issued by email within two weeks after the last day of the earning period. Members who have earned a Reward will also receive their Reward by mail within three to five weeks from the date of issuance. To receive Rewards by mail, members must provide a valid mailing address when completing their online registration. Rewards may be used in conjunction with most other discounts or offers toward the purchase of products, not to exceed the purchase amount. Rewards have no cash value and no change will be given for Rewards redemption.
Regardless of how many times or in what vehicle you receive them, Rewards may be used only once. If an item purchased with Rewards is returned, the Rewards used in the purchase are forfeited and will not be returned or refunded. Rewards may be used for in-store purchases only, and may not be redeemed for purchases on sportsauthority.com or saelite.com.
Rewards expire 60 days from the date of issuance. Rewards will not be accepted after the date of expiration. Rewards expire at 11:59pm PST on the stated expiration date.
The following items are considered non-qualifying purchases for which Points will not be awarded: purchases made for resale; purchases paid for with The League by Sports Authority or S.A. Elite by Sports Authority Member Program Rewards; licenses; tickets; sales tax; state fees; store services; service charges; delivery and assembly charges; shipping charges; commercial purchases; recycling fees; warranties; eGift Cards; other excluded charges; and certain items that may be excluded in particular promotions.
Points will not be earned on Sports Authority or S.A. Elite by Sports Authority Gift Card purchases. Sports Authority or S.A. Elite by Sports Authority Gift Card purchases are excluded from all Program promotions. Other exclusions may apply.
The following items are considered non-qualifying redemptions for which Rewards may not be redeemed: rain checks; prior purchases; online purchases; purchase of Sports Authority Gift Cards or S.A. Elite by Sports Authority Gift Cards; licenses; tickets; store services; items intended for resale or as payment on your Sports Authority credit card; sales tax; state fees; shipping charges; delivery and assembly charges; service charges; commercial purchases and recycling fees. Other exclusions may apply.
MEMBERSHIP EXPIRATION, CANCELLATION AND TERMINATION
Memberships with no qualifying Point activity during any continuous 12-month period will automatically expire on the last day of the twelfth month of membership inactivity, and that membership may be deactivated.
You may cancel your membership at any time by notifying Member Services by email or phone or on sportsauthority.com/theleague under the "My Information" heading. Cancellation may take from six to eight weeks to finalize. Upon cancellation, your membership will be deactivated.
Sports Authority or S.A. Elite by Sports Authority may discontinue membership privileges or void all or a portion of member's Point balance if Points have been issued, received or converted through computer or other administrative error, fraud, illegal means or in a manner not authorized in these rules. In situations involving misuse of the Program, we specifically reserve the right to freeze related accounts and stop future redemption of Rewards issued from those accounts. Sports Authority and S.A. Elite by Sports Authority reserve the right to terminate your membership for any reason or no reason, and at its sole discretion.
If at any time your Points balance becomes negative, we may immediately cancel or reverse any or all outstanding Rewards issued from your account. We may also terminate your Program membership account.
Resellers are specifically excluded from the Program. If you purchase items for resale, we reserve the right not to award Points to your account and to deduct improperly awarded Points from your account. We may publish a list on sportsauthority.com/theleague showing examples of purchases that we deem to be purchases for resale. If we publish such a list, we will treat such purchases as purchases made for resale, deduct Points earned on such purchases from related Program accounts, invalidate improperly issued Rewards, terminate violating membership accounts, and may decline to open any future Program membership accounts for people associated with such activity.
SPORTS AUTHORITY EMPLOYEE TERMS
Specific terms, exclusions and applicability for Sports Authority and S.A. Elite by Sports Authority employee Program member benefits will be found on the relevant employer's intranet website or in its employee handbook. Employees are excluded from participating in the Program at this time.

The Program is brought to you by TSA Stores, Inc. ("Sports Authority"). Sports Authority, S.A. Elite by Sports Authority, Sports Authority and S.A. Elite by Sports Authority logos and tag designs, sportsauthority.com, saelite.com, The League by Sports Authority™, S.A. Elite by Sports Authority® Member, and other logos and taglines are the intellectual property of TSA Stores, Inc. and others under controlled conditions. Program Rules are void where and to the extent prohibited by law. Taxes may apply where required by law.
You agree that if you have a dispute with Sports Authority about the Program, you will try to resolve the dispute through negotiation with Sports Authority. If agreement cannot be reached after negotiation, you agree to seek resolution through binding arbitration in the State of Colorado. The laws of the State of Colorado apply to the Program and you agree that any claim related to the Program will be brought in the State of Colorado.
